Company Policies

Responsibility Clause
Trofino Tri-Star Travel representatives act solely in the capacity of Tour Coordinators on behalf of their patrons in arranging for transportation, lodging, sightseeing, and any other services. As such, Trofino Tri-Star Travel, Inc., is not responsible for any damage, loss, delay, injury or accident due to any act or default of any company or person engaged in providing transportation, lodging, sightseeing, or any other services which comprise your vacation package, or tour. Rates quoted are based on tariffs current at the time of printing and are subject to change therein at or before time of final payment. Trofino Tri-Star Travel, Inc. reserves the right to withdraw a tour or to make any change in the tour that may be necessary including substitution of accommodations of same class or transportation. No carrier with whom transportation shall be arranged in connection with this tour shall have or incur any responsibility or liability to any person taking the tour, except its liability as a common carrier. The right is reserved to decline, accept or retain any person as a member of this tour prior to departure or in the course of this tour. Note: If traveling by air; it is the sole responsibility of all passengers traveling to re-confirm flight departure times directly with their specific air carrier 24 hours prior to departure.

Online Bookings
Shop with the confidence of knowing that when you book your vacation package securely online via our website, Trofino Tri-Star Travel remains your servicing agency. After you have confirmed your online reservation with a deposit, one of our certified travel consultants will contact you via telephone to introduce themselves and to address any questions you may have. 

Service Fee’s
While it remains our pleasure to serve you,  we have enabled our clients with the opportunity to shop the latest travel specials and book securely online, directly from our site, free of chargeWhile we are happy to provide our clients with customized rate quotes, we do charge a $50.00 service fee for our service and provide three rate quotes. If after three rate quotes you may want additional options, we will charge $25.00, per additional quote.

International Travelers
A valid U.S. Passport is required for travel anywhere outside of the United States (this includes Canada). Your passport must be valid at least six months past your vacation return date. Example: If you are scheduled to return to the U.S. on May 25, 2018 – – your passport must be valid at least until November 25, 2018.  Please review the United States Department of State website for updated information on obtaining your U.S. Passport.

Domestic Travelers
If you are traveling domestically within the United States, Puerto Rico or U.S. Virgin Islands, all passengers 18 years of age or older are required to have a valid state issued photo ID which must be presented to TSA Security Agents upon check-in for domestic flights. It is the sole responsibility of the passenger to obtain the proper documentation required to travel. Please review TSA Airport Policies.

Reservation Confirmation Terms and Conditions: Travel Documents
Confirmed reservations including, without limitation, airline tickets, cruise documents, hotel vouchers, tour vouchers or any other document (whether in electronic form or otherwise) used to confirm travel arrangement with a service provider are subject to conditions and/or restrictions such as, but not limited to, being nonrefundable, non-date-changeable, non-transferable and subject to cancellation and/or change fees.

Travel documents are non-transferable. Airline tickets must be issued in the name of the passport/photo identity holder (first and last name only). Incorrect or misspelled names on a booking may result in the inability to use that booking and the booking being cancelled. Additionally, errors in dates and timings may result in an inability to use that booking and the booking being cancelled. If you have secured your reservation online, any errors in names, dates and timings on your documentation will be your responsibility. 

Cancellation/Change Fee Policies
We strongly recommend securing Travel Insurance Protection. Travel Insurance mitigates most of the following penalties.  See Travel Cancelation Insurance information below.

If you change or cancel your vacation plans – your right to a refund is limited and subject to cancellation penalties. Passengers who do not travel are subject to 100% cancellation penalties. If you cancel your vacation plans or change your departure date, flight, travel dates, duration, class of service, departure city, or destination, vendor-imposed change fees and cancellation penalties become payable by you.

Trofino Tri-Star Travel Cancellation/Change Fee Policy
Any change or cancellation made to any record once a deposit has been placed onto a record will incur a change/cancellation fee of $100.00 per-person, per change/cancellation, imposed by Trofino Tri-Star Travel. These fees are in addition to, and separate from, vendor cancellation/change fee policies.

Vendor Cancellation/Change Fee Policies
Cancellations and changes to any booking are subject to vendor cancellation fees, fees imposed by airlines, cruise lines, hotels and excursion companies. Please be aware that most travel reservations are non-refundable and cancelled reservations will incur charges. These charges can be up to 100% of the cost of the reservation (confirmed booking), regardless of whether travel has commenced. As each vendor has its own terms and conditions, your travel consultant will provide you with vendor specific terms and conditions relative your rate quote, or provide you with the electronic link where you may review the vendors terms and conditions, prior to confirming any travel service with a deposit.

If you have any questions regarding specific vendor terms and conditions or are unclear of the cancellation/change fee policies, please be sure to ask your travel professional for clarification prior to confirming any reservation with a deposit. It remains the responsibility of the traveling passenger to understand his/her rights regarding vendor terms and conditions and/or cancellation/change fee policies prior to confirming travel services with a deposit. So please be sure to address any questions directly with your travel consultant prior to confirming your reservation.  

Airline Tickets
Once ticketed, airline tickets become non-refundable and are always, non-transferable. Any changes made to a airline ticket will incur a airline imposed change fee plus any additional fees incurred to for a new itinerary. These fees are in addition to, Trofino Tri-Star Travel’s change fees.

Confirmed Passenger Responsibility
Where Trofino Tri-Star Travel, Inc or any of its independent contractor associates incurs any liability for a cancellation fee or charge for any travel reservation that has been canceled by the client, the client agrees to indemnify Trofino Tri-Star Travel and any of its independent contractor associates for the amount of that fee or charge and will be financially liable to Trofino Tri-Star Travel and/or its independent contractor associates for that fee or charge.

Hotel Room Changes
If the number of individuals occupying a room changes due to a cancellation or booking change, the remaining traveler(s) under deposit within the same room will be responsible for any additional costs incurred as a result of a change in the per person occupancy rate. If all travelers change, it is considered a new booking and cancellation fees will apply.

Cancellation Notification
You must notify Trofino Tri-Star Travel immediately at trofino@aol.com of any  cancellations. All cancellations must be submitted to us in writing via our online  cancellation form. Cancellations cannot be accepted over the phone.

Travel Cancellation Insurance
Once paid for in full, most travel reservations become nonrefundable, and the cost of your reservation does not include Travel Insurance.  Travel Insurance is available from Travel Guard, to learn more and obtain a quote please follow this link, or by calling our office at 814-535-4424.

Travel Documents
The majority of our travel documents are delivered, electronically. Trofino Tri-Star Travel reviews all client documents to ensure accuracy, prior to emailing travel documents to passengers. After documents have been emailed, we will follow up with a consultation call to ensure your questions are adequately addressed, prior to your departure. Rate Quotes and Final Payments
Rate quotes are subject to change, without notice until a deposit has been received and your reservation has been confirmed. As a standard policy throughout the travel industry, prices are subject to increase prior to the time you make your final payment and may be based on, but not limited to, increases in government fuel surcharges, taxes and fees, or carrier imposed increases on fuel surcharges, taxes and fees.  Prices are not subject to increase after you make final payment, except for charges resulting from increases in government-imposed taxes or fees. By securing your reservation through our office, you expressly acknowledge your acceptance and agreement of these policies which are beyond the control of Trofino Tri-Star Travel, Inc and its independent contractor associates.

Luggage Fees
As a standard policy throughout the travel industry, airline luggage fees are never included in the cost of tour package as they are separate and payable directly to the airline upon check-in. Please ensure you review your air carrier luggage policies prior to airport check-in.

Additional Fees
Additional taxes and surcharges (including carrier imposed surcharges) that cannot be pre-collected may be charged locally by car rental agencies, hotels or other suppliers.

Airline Schedule Changes
Please note that airline schedule changes occur routinely, at the discretion of the airline. As the passenger you are expected to re-confirm your flight times directly with the airline not later than 24 hours prior to your departure.

Group Tour Policies
Each group tour has it’s own specific cancellation policies stated on the flyer. All policies and cancellation penalties are strictly enforced as they are mandated by our vendors. Any cancellation must be dated and in writing. Please note as a matter of policy, Trofino Tri-Star Travel (or any independent contractor associate of Trofino Tri-Star Travel) will not promote nor sell travel services to residents of the states of California, Florida, Iowa, Washington or Hawaii.

Returned Check Fee
There is a $35.00 fee charged for all checks that have been declined/returned, unless otherwise specified on group tours.

Consent
By securing your reservation through our office, you expressly acknowledge your acceptance, understanding and agreement of Trofino Tri-Star Travel Company Policies and further affirm your understanding and acceptances of vendor-imposed terms and conditions inclusive of cancellation/change fee policies.
